Our approach brings together our areas of expertise, blending three essential elements:
nutritional education, self-awareness and
self-compassion.
Understanding how food supports your body brings clarity and confidence.
We explore topics such as the nutrients your body needs, how digestion actually works, and how food interacts with your energy, mood, and well-being.
Through mindfulness, you learn to notice your inner experience and your body’s signals — hunger, satiety, habits, emotions, and patterns.
From this awareness, you can begin making choices that truly support you.
Real change becomes possible when we approach ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment.
Pushing ourselves to change, imposing rigid rules, or following harsh inner criticism rarely leads to lasting results.
Together, these elements support conscious choices.
Choices that can be repeated, adjusted, and refined over time, helping you discover what truly works for YOU and YOUR BODY.
And that’s how sustainable change happens.
Not through perfection.
But through awareness, care, and practice.

This free session is the perfect first step toward discovering how to create lasting, sustainable changes in the way you eat, think, and feel.
We explore a specific topic through our unique approach — blending science-based nutrition information, mindfulness, and self-compassion.

Mariana Smith is a certified mindfulness coach and former physician. With years of professional training and experience, she guides individuals and groups in cultivating awareness, presence, and compassion. Her work blends scientific rigor with a light, accessible style - helping people bring mindfulness into daily life in ways that are meaningful, practical, and deeply supportive.

Susan Alsembach is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and former nurse. She studied nursing at the University of Brighton (U.K.) and worked across surgical, medical, gynecological, and palliative care. Inspired by her daughter’s diagnosis with gluten and dairy intolerances, she trained at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, graduating in 2016. Today, she combines her medical background with holistic nutrition to guide people toward sustainable health and balance.
Not long ago, we crossed paths and quickly realized how connected our work was - even if it looked different on the surface. As we shared our perspectives, we found ourselves coaching each other: Susan dove deep into mindfulness, and Mariana discovered many new insights in nutrition.
And from that rich exchange, Bites of Bliss was born. Check this video to listen to them explaining this fortunate encounter.
